What size monitor for productivity?

sterlingr

Hello all,

For video editing and occasional gaming, what is the best screen size between 25 and 27"? is bigger always better?

Also, is 4k on a 27" monitor hard to use because everything is so small?

Thanks!

Send the 2 monitors you're looking. There's more in monitors than just size!

Holy smokes... I guess you're right O.o ... Since i'll close though, 40" will be too big, 30" max probably

look for some 30-36" 4k monitor, you can probably find a pretty good one for under $500

AOC makes some good cheap monitors, maybe check that brand out too

for productivity a larger size definitely helps, especially when you have enough pixel density like 4k

I like it, but (and I didn't mention this my bad) really want IPS as Ill be doing video editing.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-Q2770Pqu-Widescreen-Multimedia-2560x1440/dp/B00H51Q4MK

The display panel uses Advanced High-performance In-Plane Switching (AH-IPS) technology (the advanced high performance im not sure what that means, but IPS is there)

i would go with a 21:9 monitor for text and stuff (29" ips ones are around 300€) and a cheap 22" 1080p next to it. they are the same hight and resolution. you can have video left and text on the right.

im running that setup since 2 years

Desktop Build Log http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/486571-custom-wooden-case-with-lighting/#entry6529892

thinkpad l450, i5-5200u, 8gb ram, 1080p ips, 250gb samsung ssd, fingerprint reader, 72wh battery <3, mx master, motorola lapdock as secound screen

Please quote if you want me to respond and marking as solved is always appreciated.
