So ever since this game; Dirt rally whent from early access to full version, my pc has refused to let me play it propperly. and as much as ive tryed to trubbleshot the issue. and serched the web for similar issues. mine has allways come out as one of a kind. i cant explain it better then that im Losing fps, YES Losing. Not just lagg Spikes. Butt, the wird part is that it resets everytime i start up the game..

Example: starting up Dirt rally. max fps for about 2 min after i entered menu and start a track. gradly starting to lose fps frome a max 100 (monitor's max hz) and going all the way down to 5ish if i care to w8 that long before rage alt F4'ing.
and yes, i do also get a wird spike in there while the game Loses fps. but its not noticable until i ab at about 80-75 fps.

Sli or no sli does nothing. every driver is up to date and the pc was nevly reinstalled ( 3 weeks ago)

here is a picture of the fps from once i enter the game until i close it:
Dirt rally wird bug.png
as u can see, the gpu temp isnt an issue eather. its not throtteling, nor is the cpu, wich is at 35-40'c at max.

soo after all this. even if you dont know how to solve it. What could cause this? (it's the only game this happends in on my computer also..)

ive serched on google and LTT and not found one similar case.  I`m at a loss.. no idea what causes it, so cant fix it :/

i might try to uninstall some programs and see if its some software issue, but the drivers i update weekly so shouldent be them.

Maybe you have a memory leak in your ram.

Techquickie made a vid about this.

It's probably just a software issue though.

Open task manager and check ram usage when plaing your games.

thx, il check out Techquickie about the memory leak.
hoping its software aswell. as it sofar is the only game this occurs in.
but until i have it running propperly im gna see what i can do about it.
as the game seems to work propperly for everyone els :/

i did take a look at the memory leak proposal. it does look like the game had a memory leak, as the total ram in use did go up over a course of 6 stages.
every time i entered a new map/track/race the total ram usage whent up by 0.1-0.2 gb. altho i dont understand how that little of clogup, when having 32gb of total ram could cause the game to go down to 10 fps..
after the last track i kinda gave up. as compleating the runs were mear impossible. 10fps with spikes down to 3fps and alot of lagg.
still the only game that does not work for me :S
but i guess it is a software issue between the game and my pc.
are there other ways of conducting information on what causes the melfunction between a game and my system?

since it's the game it's self I guess you could try validating steam files or uninstalling and reintsalling..?

i don't know, sometimes whenever CS: GO decides to not like my computer I do that and it works.

im sure you've already tried this but it's just a thought

thx for the thought. and yes i have both reinstalled, and validated the files several times since the game whent full release.
got it to work for 1 week in the Christmas holiday last year.
but after that i have had no luck.

reinstalled pc. changed steam file destinations, tested "fix'ses" for stutter issues from related posts. nothing sofar. still the only game.

some times i think to myself: why bother if its just that game. but yeah. it's the one game that got me to buy a wheel setup. and i do love how it plays, When it plays.... so until the issue magicaly vanishes. il probbly be looking around for a fix :P..

Long shot but have you tried using older drivers as opposed to the latest, this worked for me with a similar problem ages ago in Rust.

What GPU are you running (I had a GTX 770 back then i.e an old GPU that didn't like new drivers etc).

Once I found the driver that my GPU liked I had no issues with the game.

I'l give this a go, but i might have to go way back.
as all the drivers uptil now havent done much for me.

I'm running 980ti's sli (non sli makes no differance) issue persists.
