1333MHz is just the default. Meaning you can't run anything SLOWER then that. Pretty much any DDR3 will work with the G3258. Though I really don't recommend that CPU anymore... It was a good starter CPU for people planning to upgrade to an i5 later on. So if you haven't bought it yet, don't and the people here can help you pick a better setup for the same price.

i have not buy any CPU yet.

but someone had a used G3258 for a few months, letting go for $50 CAD ... so i am just  considering that.

What do you play? Depending on what you do it might be fine.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is pretty demanding CPU wise (i3-2100 is the minspec), I'm not sure if the G3258 could handle it... You could start there and upgrade to an i3 later if you want to play that.

No problem! If you share the budget for your build, I could see what kind of build you could make.

Though with most budget builds used parts are the way to go, since you were considering buying a used G3258, it sounds like you're okay with that.

i got all other parts already. just the CPU and GPU are missing now.

probably will be using a Sapphire 280X Toxic Edition, have that at home sitting in the storage.
