should i pack up my Orginal 60gb Ps3

Mass-manufactured consoles nowadays are unlikely to get much of a value in the future. I'd say you're better off just getting the most out of it that you can.

These guys clearly don't know what they're talkong about.

Crazydog, pack it up and keep it secure. It is valuable as its the rarest of all PS3's, because it has 4 usb ports (as opposed to 2), memory card support (no other ps3 has this) and also backwards compatibility for ps2 games.

Only pack up stuff for future resale if it's new and sealed.

I have the fat 80gig metal gear solid 4 bundle and its backwards compatible. Might have to keep an eye on eBay.

i have a 60gb too but it got yellow light of death it just sits in the box now lol

I have the 60gb version and it's literally brand spanking new since I barely used it.  I believe I still have the original box for it.

only reason people pay a lot for old ps 3s are for the firmware being below 3.5

Well I was thinking the samea about my slim PSP and my GBA. Just imagine it in 30/40 years time.
