How much is this used laptop worth?

Used Dell Inspiron N5110.

It has a i3-2310m, 6Gb of RAM, a 600 (i think) GB HDD, max screen resolution(1366x768).

Minor cracks in the bottom left corner where the indicator LED's are, on the top left of the frame with the screen, and on the bar back right side of the body.

It is in great condition. All the ports on it work, and the thermal paste has been replaced.

(Pictures up soon hopefully)

around 300$-400$ if it were lightly used, any scratches or dents or even just stains on it then I would say about 250$ but even then I wouldn't buy it so god luck

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Yeah I stand by my 120$ even more now. Pretty banged up... Used laptops really dont sell for all that much unless you have the right customer. You can get a brand new laptop with similar specs for like 400$ keep that in mind.

How much could I sell it for if i ditched the i3 and put in a used i5?

You can't put in a i5 because the i3 is soldered to the laptops motherboard.

Maybe get a maximum of 200 USD with an i5. I don't think it would be worth the trouble.

Considering you can get 2nd generation (ie: Ivy Bridge) i5's in the "business class"  Dell Latitude E6430 line on eBay for ~$150 or so with a similar resolution screen, yeah, ~$100 sounds about right.
