well I have/used to run dual 290Xs and the difference between running one 290x and 2 is less than $5 per year so...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

you must game so little with those dual gpu

or the electric bill at your country is so cheap `-`

shall we do some maths?

Hmmmm...I usually game 20-45hours per week (not including the other games I play which are not on steam/tracked by it) and prices are 5.904 per kWh (night time prices which is 75% of my usage times)+ 12.734p per kWh during the day...

edit: wrong prices for electricity stated...

Hmmmm...I usually game 20-45hours per week (not including the other games I play which are not on steam/tracked by it) and prices are 6.620p per kWh (night time prices which is 75% of my usage times)+ 16.120p per kWh during the day...

so averagely 8.995p/kWh
averagely 32.5hours per week

a 290x's power consumption is around ~300W including oc

around 87.7p each week

~52 weeks a year, so 4560p a year

i dont know what is a p `-` so i cant convert it to usd

if its mexicam pesos, converted to usd would be ~264.9 USD

lets go from the other route... lets see
in 1 year your 290x will consume around 507kWh

if it cost $2 per year... it would be 0.0039/kWh `-`

where do you live again? `-`

well swap it to an almost nvidia equivalent ( a 970?), assuming the tdp is 200W (i know its not but for the sake of easier calc, its midnight here so forgive me), you would be using 2/3rd the electricity

so you're spending ~$177

you save about $88 a year on electric bill, in 4 years you can save enough for a new gpu (around $350) `-` assuming the p is mexican pesos

forgive me if i made a mistake, its midnight here atm ._. and im watching anime :P

100p(pennies)=1 Great British Pounds...so it's £4.56 a year with your calculations, which is $6.56 per year, however as I stated I mostly play/use my computer during the night prices, so $5 is about correct (which I can see between the second half 2014+first half 2015 power bills and second half 2015+2016 first quarter bills :D) which would mean it would take about 70 years to have saved $350 in the power bills :D

you deflated the value by about 250~300%
filthy liar! >:(

edit: also, wouldnt it be 45.6 pounds? since 4560/100 is 45.6?
pls dont tell me i cant basic math while im sleepy, too lazy to get my calculator out for this

My maths skills are terrible right now...you're are indeed correct, I can't do maths xD but no, $5~ is the difference I've experienced between running dual 290x and single 290x, £38.23 for the 2nd quarter of 2015 compared to the £39.10 for the 4th quarter of 2015 (I switched cases in july 2015 which also meant I had to take out a 290x due to clearance issues so I started to run a single 290x from there onwards)
