Tablet does not display uploaded images in correct order

I bought a tablet for the express purpose of uploading manga to it to read. Apparently that is too great a task as my tablet (Galaxy tab 4 7.0) can't seem to read the images I transfer in the correct order. MOST of them are in order, but not all of them. The most common problem is that the last few images in the sequence will be brought to the front, or some images from the front will be sent to the back. I have also encountered it just randomly flinging images anywhere it wants. What could cause this? The files are clearly in order in windows, and when I connect my tablet to my PC they show up as in order on my SD card. But for some reason inside the tablet they get mixed around and the only way to fix it (so far) is re-uploading and hoping for the best. Tablet is running Android 4.4.2

Is there any mod I can install that will allow me to actually move the photos around and have it stay that way? Might I be able to pad both ends of the folder with "junk" images so it doesn't matter if they get moved around? This is extremely infuriating because this thing is failing at literally the only thing I need it to accomplish.
