Fps drops but still above 60 and i feel like it lags

Build specification-

Cpu-intel-core- i-5 4690k

Gpu- amd radeon r9 280 3gb shapphire

Memory- 16gb hyperx

Motherboard- gigabyte mini atx

Psu- cx600 corsair 

Operating  system window 10


Well recently my fps started going down for some reason i used to play witcher 3 in high now i have to play it a medium and my league of legend fps started going downd fromm 200 to 100 sometimes 80 and its really laggy and its starting to annoy me  . I know my pc is performent bt the fps keeps on dropping someone help!!

I would blame windows 10. Its a new OS, and its slowly growing, getting larger and using more resources every update.  Windows is known for this.

Also make sure your monitoring your resources with something like MSI afterburner, and psycoUSA said, your card may be throttleing due to heat.

Your temperature. Use a program like MSI Afterburner and enable OSD (on screen display) to monitor your temps in game.

not thermal paste but check what your temps are in softwares like msi afterburner

As someone said, go into options and enable OSD, it will display the options u check on your screen while u game. Focus on GPU core clock, cpu using, ram and vram usage, and temperatures.  See if the clocks go down or are lower then your rated speed

Also memory speed will appear half of its rated speed, so 1600mhz ram will appear 800mhz, and 7000mhz Vram will appear at 3500Mhz
