GTX 970 SLI PSU

Hey guys i will pick up two Gigabyte GTX 970s Xtreme editions http://www.game-debate.com/hardware/index.php?gid=3462&graphics=GeForce%20GTX%20970%20Gigabyte%20XTREME%204GB%20Edition

But does my Cooler Master G750 Modular 80+ Bronze PSU fit for those two and overclocking?

My processor will be the Xeon E3 1231 V3.

Thank you

Yes the PSU is good enough for sli, but why are you doing 970 SLI? A single 980ti is better, less heat and no sli problems

The answer is definitely yes, but I would consider getting a better PSU. Your PSU is not crap but it isn't great.

Always go with a single faster GPU instead of 2 slower GPUs. Less issues and mostly better preformance.

Nah i need a PC now cause i do not have one. Pascal and Polaris rekease will be between Q3/Q4 this year so no i wont wait several months. And new tech will be so much more expensive and the 970 price will even fall when new cards come out so a win win situation could be there for me. Also nobody knows how good these cards will be and how driver optimized....

970 SLI is not a good investment. VRAM will limit you severely and driver optimization will degrade severely when Pascal drops (much like how Kepler got abandoned)

Quite a few games use more than 4GB at 1080p. Quite a few people are also having issues with VRAM atm.

Most of todays AAA titels scale pretty good with sli tho u might have to wait a week. Best example witcher 3 where the 970s crushed the 980ti

GTA V - 6GB of VRAM used
Tomb Raider 2016 - 7GB of VRAM used
MGS V - 4GB of VRAM (you have 3.5 with a 970)
Skyrim - easily over 4GB with mods

And etc.

100fps means nothing when your minimus are 2 fps cause you ran out of VRAM and it has to swap out info from the HDD. You go from 150GB/s bandwidth to 100MB/s

See thats 3 months or more. The price of these 1080/70 would be interesting. 699€ starting like everytime i hate that

Doubt it. Nobody would buy them.

Don't forget the drivers as well. When Mawxell came Kepler got abandoned. When Kepler came Fermi got abandoned. When Fermi came Volta (was it?) got abandoned

When Pascal drops a 970 will be the same as a 1060 or 1050 depending on how bad it gets abandoned and a 1070 will be above a 980.

at max settings? everything maxed? Cause the GPUs can do it but the VRAM is definitely NOT enough

Without advanced maxed out. The guy says in the comments with advanced he still gets over 60 frames but advanced settings are pretty glitchy for all cards. 980ti for example runs at 50 max these settings

Advanced aren't glitchy, he just has not got enough VRAM. TotalBiscuit ran Advanced with 980 SLI since they can cache in RAM as the VRAM is not bricked
