Use your phone?

Why remove the security your school has in place?

My phone, well I don't have a great data plan :/

And why remove it, well when your doing work half the sites are blocked.

Might add this later...

There is, but it doesn't benefit you or the school if shared.

Well if you didn't come to share it, you shouldn't have commented in the first place as it has no relevance.

Might add this later...

So I'm looking for a way to get through my school internet blocking and gain freedom on the net (For when I get free periods ect).

The school blocks all vpns/proxies, so I was thinking maybe I could somehow redirect a vpn to port 80?

The school has its own server and also some sort of 3rd party network (blocks sites for them).

Thanks and any suggestions would be appreciated!

1: this could get you in massive trouble

2: depending on local regulations, this could be illegal

3: proxy servers

or something to remote to your home computer

blocked ALL proxies?

not damn likely

This comes up every so often on here...

Unfortunately, most students don't seem to realise site restrictions in schools are a requirement under safeguarding rules, essentially (for school's in the UK anyway) a school won't pass an Ofsted inspection if the proper safeguarding isn't in place, its basically so little Johnny doesn't "accidentally" gain access to that porn site...

Here's a thought, put as much effort into your studies as you do circumventing your school's security polices and you'll be an A* student in no time...

Doubt it has been blocked, but one of the ways that I used a while ago was using Google Translate and translating the websites into English.

Those restrictions are in place for a reason- safeguarding (in UK) not sure about other countries. There are legal implications for the people running the network and school if you get on something that you are not supposed. If you want to get to a certain website, ask your network administrator if it is possible to unblock it for lunch or break. Please, do not try to bypass it because you'll be in trouble.

If the school has put up restrictions for a reason then follow them. No point in trying to "get around it"It's mostly illegal. This is like having laws, for example, hacking into someones PC, will get you into trouble.

If you can remote connect to computer ... cant you bypass through that? Use your phone data plan is easy fix. If the school block vpn is for a reason, you don't want everyone in school streaming netflix and crashing the internet to 1kps...
