Need to Heat Up My Tortillas

byalexandr

...But it's too late at night to use the microwave or the stove without waking my parents up...

I don't have my R9 290 anymore so I can't use that, my 380 doesn't get nearly as hot... Any ideas?

Just has to be at least room temperature, they were in the fridge so they are cold right now.

Serious question.

I have a toaster but it dings really loud once it's done. Stove makes a loud clicking noise when it strikes the burner. And the microwave for obvious reasons.

Maybe I can hold them over a light bulb or something....

agree withe @thekeemo try a toaster oven if you have one.

Yeah but it makes a really loud ding when the timer is done, and that's the only way to turn it on. It's one of those convection toaster ovens.

Turn on all of the lights in your home. Let them get really hot. Then, steal them all very quickly, and press them against your tortillas. You might end up with a blister or two, but at least you will have some semi-warm tortillas to eat.

unplug the toaster oven right before is goes ding.

The timer is a mechanism so I can't just unplug it.

I'm sitting in my bathroom and holding the tortillas above the hot light bulbs. Working great so far, kind of slow but oh well.

Could you put it behind the fridge?  That thing is running anyway - may as well take advantage of the heat coming out of the back.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Basically we need something here that creates heat. A LOT of heat without the noise. Any ideas? You could try using the highest wattage lightbulb you can find and putting the tortilla on it. If you get cancer I won't be responsible.

I could put the tortillas directly on the bulb but I don't know what shit has been on there to be honest. Looks clean.

I think light bulbs would be more efficient. The heat is more centralized.
