The issue is all of AMD's "open source" is really "come finish this so we can take credit"

And the proprietary stuff from Nvidia, Nividia paid to develop and it's a finished product.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Yes but did they have to make Gameworks so it screw over their older cards just to beat AMD? o3o

Really, so AMD isn't doing fine with Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, and The Division?

It just looks like that GameWorks is a sloppy piece of shit rather than it's gimping AMD cards. Because Fallout 4 can run better on Kepler, just that games are taxing what Maxwell loves the most: tessellation.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

The problem is Gameworks games take advantage of Nvidia's drivers. The places AMD at a disadvantage because of their driver overhead. And the fact that AMD is slow to release game specific drivers. It's nothing Nvidia does on purpose let alone maliciously. If they did update 1.3 wouldn't have happened for Fallout 4

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I still think the tessellation spam is a bigger issue than the driver, the driver can be fixed! :D

I still think the tessellation spam is a bigger issue than the driver, the driver can be fixed! :D

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

You kids and your misuse of "broken" xD

The only thing "broken" in the last year was by AMD, and the compass in Fallout 4. Everything else just needs settings adjusted. Which should come as naturally as taking a shit to a PC gamer.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

It had a lot of names all over it. Nvidia was not the developer, they only let the developer use their tools.

But yeah that games an embarrassment to the industry as a whole.

All Nvidia needs to do is to optimize the tools better this tessellation spam is not good for old Nvidia cards or AMDs... :P (until Polaris probably)

If it didn't look awesome, I'd agree with you. But it looks pretty sweet. And as Dan pointed out you can lower it in the Crimson settings. Wish I would have know that trick before I sold my AMD so I could have done some testing.

When Asynchronous compute hits with DX12 and AMD is better at it than Nvidia, are you going to say it's not fair for AMD cards to get to use it verses older Nvidia cards not being as successful? It's just one part of a much larger whole, something everyone forgets.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Yes but Nvidia fixed their drivers to work better at Ashes, not sure if they added a limited compute or what but they are not doing terrible! :D (I tested with my 970 on Ashes it was no problem except at the start it crashed a lot...)

see! That's what I'm talking about. Well, first Ashes doesn't take full advantage of Asynchronous compute. THAT, might be Nvidia being a (insert naughty word). But Nvidia does "somewhat" solve the issue through software. DX12 is riddled with backwards compatibility, so no card left behind and all that.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Well, hold onto your cap because if you look out the left side of the cabin you'll see the consoles we're not allowed to surpass.

It had a lot of names all over it. Nvidia was not the developer, they only let the developer use their tools.

But yeah that games an embarrassment to the industry as a whole.

Did you play it ? I have played it on my 270X half a year a go after they *fixed* the game with many patches, the games was actually amazing story wise, and the gameplay wasn't bad either, sure there were some slowdowns, but tbh it was running at a decent frame rate at medium settings on a 270X at 1200P .

It defines the term "port" that is why it fails. And the reason we get games that launch half done, is the same reason you defend it. Nothing excuses a half finished product being dumped on consumers.

Sure, but you don't have to the game at launch, I have personally did not buy it at launch, but at 1/3 of the prices after i have read that they fixed the damn game, btw the port was not by Warner bros studio, but by some 3rd party company.. any way, at the end the game was great by itself in my opinion, not considering the technical side of things.
