Hyper 212X overpriced in Canada (Evo vs X)

YongKang

Just went looking prices for an affordable air cooler and saw the 212X. It cost like 60$ CAD. WTF? Is it suppose to cost the same as a 212 EVO?

I'm really confuse.
Also, does that new design help? o.O

The Dark Rock Pro 3 is. the Pure Rock is quite easy.

EDIT- 2 screws and some tape if you don't have a magnetic screwdriver.

Let me rephrase, light overclocking. Don't go crazy.

Why not? Until the temps are fine and clocks are stable you can go as crazy as you want.

Idk, i'm just a temperature snob and won't overclock anything unless the temps are under 60.

It's just my personal opinion, i really wouldn't take the chance on accidentally ruining my $300 cpu.

You won't ruin it with temperature.

depends on the silicon lottery..

and i would not bet on that overclock no.

I think 4.0-4.4 Ghz is doable with an ok cooler. What's your opinion on the 6600k oc capacity?

Sorry i don't understand your question. I just raised my multiplier and left everything else on auto. Ran prime95 for ~15 mins, x264 for ~15 too as i just got it a few days ago and have yet to do a full night run. Pretty happy so far with 59C
