What is MSI Audio Boost?

Go to solution Solved by Ryoutarou97,

Here's MSI's article on the topic: https://gaming.msi.com/article/audio-boost-3-there-is-more-in-life-than-graphics Seems to me just a marketing word for isolated PCB and japanese capacitors (wow! Just like literally every gaming board ever!). Oh and it amps sound a bit because louder is better. Here's the actually important paragraph:

There is a way to make powerful hardware even better; by enhancing it with powerful software. Audio Boost 3 is optimized to work with Nahimic audio software that allows users to personalize their sound. Choose from several presets such as music, gaming or movie mode. Each of the profiles can be adjusted to personal preference through a user friendly interface. Special audio features like virtual surround, frequency leveling and bass boost are available to create an even more immersive audio experience. Optimized microphone features such as the voice leveler, noise gate and noise reduction assure clear communication with fellow gamers while Nahimic’s HD audio recorder allows for high quality streaming capabilities.

Something that doesn't change anything and isn't worth wrestling with a short molex to audio connector just to get slightly louder sound.

KILL THE FORMATTING WITH FIRE I AM SO SORRY

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

I have a Z87 Xpower with Audio Boost, and it sucked.  It sounded clean but couldn't drive my moderately difficult to drive headphones and had to get a sound card.
