EVGA 500B = Good enough for mild overclocks?

dialgarocksful

Provided on thread title, I'm planning to OC my Athlon X4 860K to 4.7 or 4.5, if lottery chip will be given.

Other specs of the build:

MSI A88X Gaming

16GB RAM

Sapphire R7 370

2 SSDs

3 HDDs

Alright with that hardware. The EVGA B is comparable to Corsair CX, so you don't want to push it hard.

Any particular voltage I should limit as well?

As long as you have that low-power GPU you don't have to be careful with the CPU overclock.

EVGA B series is significantly better than the CX series.

OP Your system draws less than 200 watts and I'm assume isn't very hot either. Go crazy.

Not at all. The EVGA B series is made by HEC, a worse OEM than CWT, who makes the Corsair CX units. Both are budget group regulated designs. The CX has slightly better capacitors and significantly lower ripple. The EVGA B has marginally better voltage regulation and slightly higher current rating on the 12V rail.

The Corsair CXM series is marginally better while the non-modular series from one revisions ago was worse. Now the CX is pretty comparable, if not better all the time, than the EVGA B-series.
