The reason I believe that everyone should have SSDs in their systems is the sequential read and write speeds along with their reliability. Not only are they fast but they also keep the user at ease at the fact that they don't have to worry about replacing them in a long time. Although one can argue that they can't reach their full potential with the bottleneck that is SATA. It still wipes the floor with HDDs and if your motherboard supports NVMe then you can break the bottleneck virtually increasing your performance. Along with the fact that they are super easy to install and they are smaller that the traditional HDD. They are overall an amazing product that should be incorporated in everyone's PC should they have the funds to purchase one. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to incorporate one into my system so i'm stuck with the traditional HDD.

I've never had an ssd before because i could never afford one, and my computer only has a 1tb hdd. But i have recently been thinking about saving up to get one, so winning this ssd could definitely help my computer!

Well in short, everybody should have an SSD because no one deserves to get a WD Caviar Blue Drive (newer one) only to end up getting a WD Green HD to expand storage capacity. Oh, did I mention that SSD's are Super-Saiyan-Duper?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

My hard drive is so slow, it takes like 10 mins just to get my IDE up. so a SSD would help me out a heap

SSD for boot and pagefile. Also I want to raid these other 2 HDD's and short stroke them for my games and keep the rest for media storage (not pirated movies and not porn)

Disk storage isn't improving much anymore. I would really like some of this new solid state magic so that I can show my friends the wonders of SSDs. Pretty please?

I want to build a computer for my girlfriend and it would be nice to show her life with an ssd. Everyone should have one even for basic OS to reduce boot times and increase efficiency.

I just finished building my 1000 dollar PC with a 2 terabyte hardrive from Toshiba ( i know weird choice) and my 120 gig boot ssd from sandisk. I would like to put my demanding steam games on this ssd so they run better. I think anyone who is building a PC over 500 dollars should put a ssd in their rig because it makes the rig a whole lot more

Snappy opening programs making the PC feel faster

SSD's are awesome! It made my system boot so much faster than before, everything loads quicker, waiting for the ton of programs I do use every day to load takes less time than it did to load a couple on a standard hard drive.

I just wish my work would convert to an SSD style server setup like you guys.... Geeze that would make life easy...

Everybody should have an SSD. Faster boot times, faster read times, no noises like those that come from HDDs, and are a lot smaller than HDDs.

I want one because I don't have one. Then I'd get all of the benefits up there ^^^

I want a new SSD because my SSD is dying.  I think everyone should have an SSD because who would rather wait 1 to 2 minutes for their computer be ready versus the 20 seconds with an SSD.

I want a SSD so I can stop using this cheap 500gb 5400prm hard drive for my os, it's slow it's clunky and the cables are annoying with a N400. where I could actually hide the ssd in the ssd holder it came with.

Why everyone should have one? Well that's simple, they are fast and reliable.

I literally just received the some of the components for my first ever computer build today. I'm super exited and have yet to purchase any storage devices. So then I watched the LinusTechTips video promoting this giveaway, and was like "Woah! I need to try that!" ...and thus is my comment.

Also, everyone should use SSDs because hard drives. 'Nuff said.
