GTX980 or a 390x.

You can also get a fury or nano if that is your kind of thing.

Definitely a used 980Ti imo

If you buy a used EVGA card you get a transferable warranty as well :)

R9 Fury

http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-980-vs-AMD-R9-Fury/2576vs3509

based on userbenchmark the 980 is slightly faster overall, its within margin of error tho, along with the R9 390x.

so that brings it pretty much on a tie between the R9 fury the R9 390x, or the GTX980 depending on which one you prefer.

GTX 980 is around $500.

R9 Fury is around $520

Both Fury X and GTX 980ti are around $600+.

The best value would be a GTX 980, you can found non-reference versions like the Zotac AMP!  for $470 Amazon Link

The highest performance GPU you could get with that money is the R9 Fury (non x), which does perform a bit better than the GTX 980 (not by that much once the 980 is OCd).

The other 2 options would only be obtainable if you get extra $50, which depeding on the resolution you will be playing at might be actually worth it (for example 4k, or high refresh rate 1440p).

Also remember that this could be your chance to jump into the Gsync Freesync wagon (again, depending on the resolution you will be playing, at 1080p or 60hz 1440p, these frame timing tools aren't that big of a deal).

Are you sure?

If it does it'll have it in the title as it's quite a selling point.

I thought that was well, as the old nitro was a 2 fan design. But now even the nitro is 3 fans.

It's just the tri-X with black and grey details instead of orange.

Anyone else can chip in on this?

There was a hot deal thread about the devil 13 390x2 being reduced and also coming with a $100 rebate card and a mouse worth around $100. Looks like a monster of a card for $500. Unfortunately out of stock right now too though.
