Just finished my PC. What games should I get?

Mattsoup

I just finished my $300 build and I have about $100 to blow on games.  What should I get?  Keep in mind I've been using a craptop for a while so I don't have much in my library.

The day it goes free will mark the end of CS completely, it already is far too cheap.

How about we suggest some good games instead of what everyone else is.

  • Terraria
  • Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (comes out tomorrow)
  • Metro 2033 and Last Light (Redux)
  • Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
  • Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
  • Starbound
  • Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition (will have to mod a bit to get working right)
  • Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (not as good as DaS, but still decent)
  • Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
  • Dying Light
  • Garry's Mod
  • Endless Legend
  • Secrets of Grindea
  • Kingdom
  • The Curious Expedition
  • The Long Dark

All that comes to mind at this moment.

I have a few of those, Dark Souls would be my number 1 pick but I would also like to add, do not get Dark Souls II, the singe-player is meh and PvP is just full of tryhards and laggers now. Play Dark Souls 1 and wait for Dark Souls 3 (April 12th)

I've yet to finish Metro Last Light but I played the first one a long time ago, pretty fun and intense when you play on harder difficulties.

Chivalry if you have a few friends to play with, same goes for Garrys Mod, Shadow of Mordor is pretty fun but the story is meh. Dragons Dogma looks pretty cool but the travelling system is apparently pretty bad. (I have no idea if they've fixed that in this version)

Sleeping Dogs was also pretty fun but not my type of game exactly, get Terraria if you have friends. Dying Light looks pretty cool, have been thinking about picking that up. The rest, I've never heard about but those would be my picks.

What are your specs $300 is awefully low end.  Some game may not run well on that.
