Samsung unveils at CES a new tablet coming this year, the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S.

It is a 2-in-1 tablet similar to the Surface line from Microsoft, powered by Windows 10 Home or Pro.

The device has a keyboard/kickstand/cover system similar to the iPad Pro keyboard/cover, and features the same limitation of 1 angle, but the keyboard is a normal keyboard, and touchpad is included.

LTE Cat.6 connectivity option is also available as an option.

 

It features:

 -> 6th Gen. Intel Core M processor (Dual Core 2.2GHz - m3-6Y30 with an Intel HD 515 GPU), fanless design

 -> 4GB of RAM (no info if its DDR3L or DDR4).

 -> 2160×1440 Super AMOLED screen (OLED panel)

 -> 5MP front and back camera. The back camera has auto-focus feature.

 -> Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1

 -> GPS, GLONASS, Accelerometer, and Light sensors

 -> 128GB / 256GB SSD storage options

 -> 5,200mAh (39.5W, 7.6V) with full charge in 2.5 hours, up to 10.5 hours battery life (Samsung claims).

 

The device dimensions and weight are:

290.3×198.8×6.3mm, 693g(Wi-Fi), 696g(LTE)

A multi-port adapter with HDMI and USB Type A & C connections will be offered, along with a Bluetooth pen

 

Samsung says:

It will be available in February, no info on price.

I like that idea.  I know it seriously limits how much performance you can expect, but there is something to be said for a fanless design in any device.  Besides being silent, there is nothing to clean dust out of, no moving parts to fail, etc.  I've just always liked anything that can do it well without sacrificing too much in the process

What's the screen size?

12". Says that in the source.

Ativ used to be Samsungs Windows branding and still is, so it is kinda odd to mix their Android brand name with a Windows device. Galaxy is definitely the more recognizable of the two, so I guess they're trying to boost sales.

Maybe it's because they find AMOLED displays synonymous with the Galaxy brand. So they're reinforcing that by calling all devices with AMOLED displays Galaxy. Just speculation.
