Are there any decent free streaming service or do you have to pay to get a decent experience? I used grooveshark for a while but they got shut down so...

Spotify has the best free service.

I use Spotify Premium.

 

I haven't look back.

 

The only downside is that there's no King Crimson on there. I want my fix of KC, damnit!

I just use Youtube, got Interwebz acsess everywhere I go so I dont see why I should pay for a streaming service :P

Idk I just looked at a wikipedia page listing streaming services. I only knew about the first four.

I hate monthly subscriptions. Although with a student discount $5/m doesn't seem that terrible. Is it worth using it for free?

If you have a decent/good pair of headphones and can appreciate better music quality and prefer listening offline, subscribing for premium can be totally worth it. I've never looked back since I went for it with the student discount.

Amazon Prime. Getting the shipping perks plus the video and music streaming makes it a great price for what you get.
