I have a corsair K55. I dont have a huge budget, but with selling my current and some extra cash I am looking for a mechanical keyboard. Are there any favorites/recommended that arent super expensive that I could look into?

Keychron's keyboards start at $69 for a basic white backlight, Gateron switches and plastic case. They're pretty decent for that money.

I recently got a Keycron K2 (v2) with gateron brown switches. its a 75 ish% layout its custom as far as I know. I got the RGB aluminium. I do recommend it! No I didn't get the hot swappable mostly because I didn't like the Key cap colors and i know you can replace them but i didn't want to have that to deal with.

Build specs:
- GK64X case & PCB, foam modded
- Included stabs clipped and lubed with krytox 205g0 and dielectric grease and band-aid modded
- Boba U4Ts lubed with krytox 205g0 (not the legs)
- YMDK PBT black on white keycaps with blank colour mods from WASD keyboards
- Aviator cable is custom from Etsy
- mstone acrylic 60% keyboard cover (my room gets very dusty)
- Orcas 60% wrist rest

I am looking for someone to de-solder my current mechanical keyboard switches and then re-solder new switches in! If anyone knows anywhere that would provide this service that would be fantastic!

I swapped the red lock LEDs in my Focus with amber ones. Much nicer imo, more pleasing colour and not as bright or distracting.

With shipping cost to/from and the cost of the desolder/resolder of the switches, it'll be cheaper to just get a soldering iron and suction pump. Just take your time.

I have been playing osu for a year and this is what happens to the keeb after awhile.

cause I bottem out the key cap. the key caps loosen up.

the only cap that completely broke was my z cap.

That fair enough, you can find decent cheap sets for around $20ish.

I just sold my G610 late 2020, bundled it with one of my systems. Worth reaching out to that person!
