Extreme Monitor Flickering

Hi so the problem is that every so often my monitor flickers as shown in the picture and in my attempts isn't possible to fix without rebooting my pc

    i5 6600K
  • Motherboard
    Asus Z170-E
  • RAM
    16GB Ram 8GB HyperX 8GB unbranded
  • GPU
    amd radeon r9 280
  • Case
    BeQuiet Silent 800
  • Storage
    1TB Sata/120gb SSD
  • PSU
    500Watts

Have you tried connecting the monitor to the motherboard and running off of integrated graphics?

 

If it works after that, the video card is dead. If not, you might need to try different outputs (i.e. VGA, DisplayPort, etc.)

Don't be fooled by the bottom line of my sig, that is just for my travels.

So you're telling me that Gaben is no God? Enough of your foolishness.

My hardware you ask? I'm using a Dell Inspiron 3217 Notebook... With an LG 25UM57.
