Did i way overbuild?

1 year ago today i built my own gaming pc. looking back, i think i wayyyy overbuilt for my own needs. here is the system

 

i5 4590

R9 280X (later got a titan black for free)

8 GB RAM

 

for the following games

 

hitman absolution

Minecraft

other various 8 bit indie games

Civ 5

 

so did i overbuild?

The Striker i5 4590 @ 3.7 ||  MSI GTX 980 Armor X2 || Corsair RMX 750 || Team Elite Plus 8 GB || Define S || MSI Z97S SLI Krait

The Office PC i3 4160 @ 3.6 || Intel 4600 || EVGA 500B || G.Skill 8 GB || Cooler Master N200 || ASRock H97M Pro4

The Friend PC G3258 @ 4.3 || Sapphire R9 280X Tri-X || EVGA 600B || 8 GB Dell Ram || Cooler Master N200 || ASRock H97M- iTX/ac

The Mom Gaming PC A10-7890K @ 4.4 || iGPU + ASUS R7 250 ||  8 GB Klevv DDR3-2800 Mhz

Well with a Titan Black it's kinda overkill but oh well, what's the purpose of PC Gaming if not to go big or go home.

And not really. It'll last you while, but not overbuild.

i was thinking of going 4K later, so can i play those games at 4k with a titan black?

looking back to my first build i under built lol. i got a i5 then i found out i needed a i7 so im using after effects and premier pro on a i5 lol but a titan for minecraft is a bit over kill tho i have a Gtx 980 for minecraft that i get 1300 fps with

i put shaders on and a 128 by 128 resource pack for like 120 FPS
