as long as it is new just plug it in

I did but it didn't show up in ''this PC''

Hard drives must be formatted before they can be used. You can use Disk Management or a third party tool to accomplish that.

Your system confuses me, a 4790k paired with a 750ti? But yeah just plug it in and format it and it will work just fine

right click this PC -> manage -> disk management 

than format it in your preferred format

The second drive is the new one, yeah?

Right click on the Unallocated section and click New Simple Volume. Follow the onscreen prompts.
