Dead motherboard, or dead ram?
Go to solution
Solved by Sack,
About a month ago, my pc randomly crashed and wouldn't post. I didn't think anything of it because I had another motherboard to put everything into. The only problem is that I didn't use the same ram as the first build. Now, I'm upgrading to a new platform and was planning to use the ram that was with the dead board. Is there any way that I can diagnose that the motherboard or the ram is dead before I do anything, just so I don't break anything on my new platform? Thank you!
I don't think ram kills your MB, but you can just try putting them into your current build to see if it works. The normal thing to diagnose RAM is to take it all out, and then put one and one stick back in.
