nexus 6p loading photos in lower resolution(?)

Badgerworks

Hi all,

I just noticed on my nexus 6p, when I swipe to the next photo in my photo library, it loads it in a lower resolution, and when I zoom in, it loads the whole thing. These photos are stored locally, and it does it even with aeroplane mode on. It's quite annoying, as it can make focussed photos seem blurry... anyone know how to turn this off/fix?

thanks

Sounds like a battery saving measure to me. See if there's a difference when you got it in charger and/or with power saving off.

I don't thing that there is really a fix for that. I have a Xperia Z3C and it is also happening to me in the Album app and in the Photos app (from Google). Maybe the memory is just not fast enough to load the pictures instantaneously (just a wild guess) or maybe it is some kind of post-processing. If it really bothers you, try asking on XDA forums (in Nexus 6P section).

It doesnt load when you zoom in, it just takes a second to load the whole photo. The initial photo that is loaded is a cached photo because otherwise it would take forever to swipe through photos.
