Windows 10 New Update, Everything is Alien

Well they forced me to update Windows 10, now instead of the Windows 7 like design that Windows 10 had going on, my taskbar is empty, everything looks alien.

 

It's either that my install is broken or that they just forced everyone to use the Task View mode.

 

Can someone follow up?

Can you post a picture? Windows 10 is quite different from 7 but shouldn't be completely alien

So it looks like this, all my task bar icons are gone, the bottom right of the taskbar which is meant to switch to desktop is not working.

The Windows button does nothing.

That looks really odd, Im running windows 10 right now and there should be a few taskbar icons for applications, cortana, and definitely a few more icons to the right of the screen... Im not sure if they can be hidden or not but it might be a settings option. Otherwise that looks really odd...

I restarted the computer, icons are mostly back.

But tons of shit is going ham at the background as processes.

 

Will wait it out, looks fine now.

Did you select the option to wipe your data during the upgrade?

 

Edit: yeah it looks borked especially in the notifications section.

You might need to reinstall and delete all previous data during the reinstall process.

did you do a clean install of 10? or only the upgrade
