College work/play rig on budget

Forum newb here.

Planning a build for college for moderate gaming and work with modeling programs (autodesk, etc.). But, I really need this build to be as cost efficient as possible and was wondering if any of you peeps would mind taking a look at what I have so far.

P.S.

I don't really care about running the newest AAA titles @4k 120 fps, I really just want something that could handle some FPS's (Battlefront, BO, CSGO) and sandboxes (MC, Space Engineers). Other games like watchdogs and GTA V would also be pretty cool...

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

I would drop the cpu cooler since you cant overclock your cpu, and get a 1tb hdd.

does it NEED to be in that case?

It's highly preferred because of the portability. Really want to get into LAN parties, but if all else fails, I could change it. Just haven't found another that would be a better choice..

my friend..

many of us go to LAN parties with full-mid ATX cases

unless you have scoloisis or something i'd go for a mid ATX to save some money on your pc specs

get a cheaper case and a 2 stick kit for cheaper instead of buying 1 stick twice, and some games now (e.g far cry 4) dont even run on a dual core at all

Here this build can do Video Editing as well handles Very good in gaming!

Drop the 390 to 380x, to lower the price. But 390 is worth the bucks.
