Is an OC'd i5 4690k overkill with a corsair h100i GTX

I am planning to buy an Intel I5 4690k. I am going to overclock it to 4.5ghz at 1.3v which I have read is a stable sweet spot. I was wondering if a corsair h100i GTX water cooler would be overkill to cool it.

Will it be a good cooling option for the OC?

Oh and one tip if you do get it.... I didnt like how much thermal compound they pre applied so maybe buy a tube of ICDiamond. it works well after using a while

Though either is good and really won't have too huge of an effect if you apply it correctly.

Should I get the 7 or the 24 carat? Or does it make a difference?

7. The only difference is 24 gives you alot more... you shouldnt need but a tiny bit the size of a piece of rice which the 7 carat will give plenty enough of
