I need urgent help my PC keeps completely freezing ( Windows 10 Pro )

Gandek

This has been going on for a while now and it mainly happened during regular tasks like web browsing and watching videos. just now it happened during a live CS:GO match which it has never happened in surprisingly but it ended up throwing us the game... HERE IS WHAT I THINK YOU NEED TO KNOW TO HELP ME FIX THIS: I have Windows 10 Pro i upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate as soon as it came out, the first few months i did not have any issues. My GPU is a Asus R9 280 and it's drivers are out of date (rocking the previous newest version ( 15.201 ) reason being is i can't for some reason update to the newest one the download gets stuck at one point forever... I never had prior issues updating my catalyst driver. So i always have to use the power button and turn on the PC again :/

PC freezing is commonly associated with poor or unstable PSUs or dying HDDs. In his case I am leaning towards the PSU giving in.

Can't afford a new PSU right now to check.

Can't afford a new PSU right now to check.

get http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html (the regular one not the Pro version)

and open it. after you have had a few of the slowdowns with the program running post a screen shot of the system voltages part of it. It should show how low the voltage has dropped on each one of your rails. Its not perfect but its free and should show if your having any major instability with your PSU's power output.

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

You can trust me, I'm from the Internet.

Leave it running for a while, while you play a game or hit one (or preferably a couple) the slowdowns So we can see the difference between the Min and Max for the board voltages.

Side note, what formatting did you use for your signature? I really like it. Like what font and size?

Edit: :) Looks awesome.

I would get your GPU driver problems ironed out first before you try anything else.  Download the latest from the AMD site and run DDU first to completely remove the old drivers and software.

well i did that and also did it in safemode

and it still gets stuck @ this crap fml. aCIYByz.jpg

When I did my latest driver update on my AMD (CPU & GPU) based rig I hang at that point for about 15 min. It was odd but eventually it pushed past and finished.

Ya it was strange because my Intel build installed the same exact drivers without a hiccup in about a min.

I'm installing the full package again (hopefully it finishes) because i don't have the AMD Catalyst Control center i need it to change my monitors saturation it wasn't actually in the options it just gave the gaming evolved app which i always uninstalled because it screwed my games settings...Is there a manual download for just the control center?
