99% memory usage on 16gb of ram.

All i was doing was on google chrome on windows 10 noticing its a little twitching and seems 'different' at loading things so i looked at the task manager and see this. I have no idea whats causing this, help please :)https://gyazo.com/4e1261606a51e7dd93e09e2d4d698fbd

In all seriousness, try disabling all of your extensions and run in incognito mode, if that works then one of your extensions is eating up all of your ram. Disable it and email the maker.

memory leek. rebooting fixes this

I've actually done that without hitting a memory leak. I've also had a single program memory leak its way to 16GB usage back when I had 24GB.

Restart the machine and see if it happens again.

That's a memory leak.

 

Reboot the system.

 

If the problem persists, Clean Installation would help.

memory leak, reboot

I tried shutting it down and it wouldn't shut down because of the memory leak would just boot back to the desktop halfway :D. Just used the reset switch and it seemed to have worked. I assume that is a one time problem? How would have this memory leak occured?
