Gtx970 g1 Windforce edition overclock @ 1500mhz or 1.50mhz

Mitchell158

In Jayztwocents video:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OAahjdwfbRw he talks about getting the card to 1500mhz and I was wondering what settings I had to change to get it to stop crashing when I start a game. I just need to know the exact setting of voltage, memory, and fan speed and all the others. Thanks!

Even with the same settings, cards are not guaranteed to be stable.

not guaranteed your card will do 1500 mhz. overclocking is not quick and dirty,

you need to increase core clock until you crash.. if you crash at less than 1500mhz then either increase voltage or lower the oc..

It's all Silicon Lottery M8.  You aren't even guaranteed an overclock on a card.  Request a custom BIOS here and it most likely will be able to go higher.  http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/327032-gtx-970-owners-club/

Every card is different. You could have the exact same settings and your card could still fail, or it might clock itself higher.

A lot of the 970 g.1s overclock rather well. I got a nice 1513 boost on mine, but that's at max voltage and instability in some less optimized games. Just follow Jay's overclocking guide and hope for the best.

with my 980 G1 gaming  (yes i know different card i just dont have a 970) i did +150 core for a 1527mhz core and all cards are different one might get 1600 when a nother might crash when you add +1.
