Monitor speakers not working

TubsAlwaysWins

Does anyone know why my monitor speakers won't work? I have an ASUS VC279 that i got for Christmas and YouTube or games wont output audio. Windows recognizes it and you can do an 'audio-test' style thing and it will play sound through them, but not in games. I have the audio turned up to 80% on the monitor and on windows. Thanks

Maybe check your game settings or gaming client for audio output settings?

Are you using the HDMI or analog input?

Does any other Audio come through them?

Do you have any other audio outputs disable them and only have the speaker out put.

The Dick of the audio page!

Its because i was using HDMI. I still don't understand why YouTube and stuff wont output though. Is it because i have headphones plugged in (Gaming headset)

Well that could be the case, usually you can only output via one path. Seems like your headset is the current path. Try to unplug your gaming headset, make sure the audio settings are correct & try again.
