Best / Cheapest 1080P projector?

I'm not really experienced when it comes to projectors, but does anyone know what's the best / cheapest 1080p projector today? There are so many models it's hard to find something.

IDK a single projector which does 16:9, let alone 1080p.

 

All i see is 1280x1024 4:3 ones

Well for me im getting the Benq w1070 ,it's great in every way for me .it's 1080p very low reported input lag so gaming is superb @ reportedly 33ms if not a solid 20ms ,the size you can do starts @ a woping 40" all the way up to 200+ what ill be doing is getting it then run nothing but my Pc on it. ive already bought an electric screen 100" and with that ill get 90" worth for 16:9 and ill tell ya now that's way bigger than my 1 yr old 55" Sony Tv that just broke damn thing.

 

Do look at as many vids as you want ,don't bother about if reviews say that the deep blacks are not as great as some as they are saying that those they are comparing them to is things like that cost up 2 12k or cheaper but what ever im getting it cus i can simply put my PC on the damn thing & have a great screen to game on like hell yeah. Make sure it's exactly this model tho don't get the + get this. Benq w1070

 

But that;s my suggestion ,im sure others will have there own preferred projector ,and at the end of the day it's mostly comes down to how much can yu spend. the Benq w1070 is around 1k here in AUS ,im not sure on were you reside so yeah. Have this 1 in mind. all the best. Do get back to us.

I've done a lot of research in the last few months before buying a higher end Sony and the one that keeps coming up as a good budget projector is the Epson Powerlite 2030.

Knowing your budget will help a lot. Good projectors range from $500-$150,000. I use a Panasonic PT-AE7000 and you would have to spend 3 times as much to actually get something noticeably better. The equivalent Epson and Sony projectors a just as good, from my research the Epson has slightly better black detail than the Panasonic but it has better colours. The newer Panasonic PT-AE8000 is supposed to have better black details but I've never seen one in action so don't now how much better.

 

Also I'm going to guess that you probably are not wanting to spend as much on a projector as the Panasonic model I mentioned. The model down from it, PT-AR100U, is still very good and half the price.

 

Edit: The light level in the room will make way more difference than a more expensive projector too. If you try and fight the sun you will loose Spend the money on better curtains and UV/Tint film on windows rather than more on a projector.
