What kind of adapter do I need to use this laptop harddrive?

That is sata--it's just a right angle adapter. Take it off and put it on your new drive.

I want to store some random crap on it, but I'm not sure what kind of adapter I need to convert it to SATAwv8zYLq.jpg

It is a SATA drive. You need to remove it from the bracket. There's two screws on each side, remove them and the drive itself should slide out.

Unscrewing a bracket is a lot cheaper than buying an adapter, thanks guys
