What to buy for ~$400?

SuntannedBeast

I was wondering what to buy for around $400? Already have a good pc, I was thinking about getting 2 of these: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-250GB-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-7TE250BW/dp/B00E3W1726/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1451070557&sr=1-8&keywords=samsung+evo

But that still leaves $200.

Please leave suggestions as I got it for christmas and i have no idea what to buy with it.

Yes, why would you even consider a last gen SSD, especially if it's more expensive?

I see you have a 970, get another one and SLI, or sell your current one and use both moneys on a 980 Ti.

Then like I said I would sell you current 970 and use the money you have and the money you get from selling the 970 and get a 980 Ti. It's as fast at two 970s anyways.

It does support Crossfire, perhaps get a 390/390X or two?

Yeah, go for it! You can easily sell the 970 on eBay for $250, and that'll be enough for the new 980 Ti. The EVGA card is great btw, and if you like AMD I highly recommend the Fury X as well (though the 980 Ti will be faster if you OC it, after all it is aftermarket). MSI also makes a great 980 Ti, as do Gigabyte and Zotac. I would stay away from ASUS though.

Yeah I've heard bad things about asus cards, and that's why I bought an evga gtx 970.

Oh, I think you can get a PowerColor Fury X for $589.99 I believe? That would make the 970 easier to sell or you would have money left over, so just take that into account. The Fury X is a very fast card, and AMD is still improving the drivers.

Edit: Yup, for this price I myself wouldn't mind the slight performance decrease, but if you still like the 980 Ti, then go for that:

That looks pretty nice. Its already liquid cooled so that's a plus. Thanks so much!

I would replace that PSU sooner than later though. It's not too much of a deal though :P Also, Fury X $569.99 after $20 rebate + discount.
