Xbox one controller pc adapter problems/ .net framework 3.5 error

I bought a wireless adapter so I can play pc games with my xb1 controller. I plug it in and it installs default drivers. My pc does an update at restart, but gets stuck at 83% and cancels the update after about 25 minutes. I tried uninstalling the drivers and plugging the adapter in to reinstall drivers. Same thing. I tried downloading the drivers from Microsoft and manually installing them in device manager. It said they were the right drivers but Windows failed to install them. So I said **** it, I'll just install Windows 10. Awesome, it works. But now my game doesn't work because win10 doesn't come with .net framework 2-3.5. So I go and download .net framework pack(2.0,3.0,3.5), but every time I try to install it, it fails! WTF!!! Listen man, I'm just trying to play some La Noire and want my stuff to work. Please help.

i don't think windows 10 was ready for release. bet  they're working on one helluva sp1 for it right now.

 

but why didn't you get windows updates for your old opsys?

10 comes with 4.6

but la noire should be fine with it

 

install the directx and it should work

if this was a clean install of 10

if not do the clean install first

sounds like you onlt did the upgrade

I tried running la noire without .net 3.5, but it didn't even start up. It prompted me to install 3.5, but gives me an error message

I successfully updated to Windows 10, and checked for updates. It downloaded cumulative update, but failed at installation and canceled
