Followup: 2 Dead power supplies....

This is a followup post to the one here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/509210-2-dead-power-supplies/

I recently upgraded my gpu from a EVGA GTX 650ti to a MSI R9 390 as well as added 2 more 4gb sticks of Corsair Vengeance Low Profile ram to my rig.  A couple days after, my power supply, a Cooler Master G650M, died. So I decided to get a new one to replace it, a Corsair CS750M. Then in about 24 hours that one died too! Luckily I managed to exchange it and got a new unit. Is it possible that my upgrades killed my PSU? Or is it something else and just coincidental. Please help, I don't wanna keep changing PSUs.

System Specs:

CPU: Intel i5 3570k

Mobo: Gigabyte Z-77 D3H

GPU: MSI R9 390

Memory: 4x4GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Low Profile Memory

Storage: 240GB Kingston HyperX Fury SSD

              2TB WD Black

PSU: Corsair CS750M

Basically based on the replies that I got and asking around outside the forums, I used my PC for about 4 days but changed my GPU from my R9 390 back to my GTX650ti, and I plugged my power through a voltage regulator, because someone had told me that I might have some unstable voltage running through my walls.

Everything was stable, so I changed my GPU back to the R9 390. It was ok for a few hours but then my PSU started to become really noisy. I then restarted my PC to see if it persisted, and thankfully it didn't. So I'm making this post to ask for advice if my PSU is alright and if there's anything I can do about it.
