Possible phishing email? What do you guys think?

Master Disaster

So I got an email from livestream.com saying my account has been compromised, thing is AFAIK I don't have an account there and never have.

The site seems to be legitimate though so I don't know what I should do now. I've changed my passwords recently (when this forum got hacked) so if I do have a password registered with them it's old and no longer used but I'm undecided about changing my passwords for everything again.

Here's the email

We are contacting you because you registered an account on Livestream. We recently discovered that an unauthorized person may have accessed our customer accounts database. While we are still investigating the full scope of the incident, it is possible that some of your account information may have been accessed. This may include name, email address, an encrypted version of your password, and if you provided it to us, date of birth and/or phone number. We do not store credit card or other payment information. We have no indication that the encrypted passwords have been decoded, but in an abundance of caution, we are requiring all users to reset their passwords. Click this button to reset your password now:Reset PasswordIf you used the same passwords for other accounts, we recommend changing your passwords for those accounts as well.We have already implemented additional security measures and will continue to improve our systems to help prevent these incidents in the future. If you have any questions please contact us at password@livestream.com.

What do you guys think I should do?

If that's a direct copy-paste, they suck at spacing.

So I'd say scammer/phisher.

No, it's actually a really professional looking email, it's my phone that's fucked up the formatting.

Still. If you've never had an account there.. Why bother doing anything? Just remove the mail imo

Ah.

I'm not gonna try and see if password@livestream.com is a legitimate email. Both of my accounts have too much shit on it for them to be compromised.

Is there a link? Does it ask you to enter a valid username and password? If so, delete it.

I searched my entire inbox (I never delete emails) and nothing came up other than the one today.

I'm gonna delete it.

Thanks all.

It looks like it could be legit, or not. Do another Google search to see if the website is legit. If you want to see if you have a profile and the website is legit, do the "recover login info" option to see if your email is registered. If your email isn't registered, then it is a scam.

Sorry I got here so late folks; I'm a new member and I joined to tell you that according to The Next Web's news feed, this is a legit request. I've had a Livestream account for many years; remember to stay safe, one can always just go to the site by typing in Livestream's full URL and request a new password in the normal manner. Livestream changed it's name to what it currently is so many years ago that I can't remember the original. The news item in question is linked below.
