Gigabyte or MSI 960?

Hello, I have a little bit of a dilemma here.. I'm unsure whether to buy a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 with 4GB of GDDR5, or an MSI GeForce GTX 960 with 4GB of GDDR5. Really on paper it seems like both cards are exactly the same, (theoretically they are) but my only down fall is the Gigabyte one has a backplate and is about $20 more however the MSI actually matches my MSI Z97 Krait Edition Motherboard, the MSI parts have a nice looking Black and White color scheme, so the MSI 960 being the cheaper of the two, (and no back plate however not a huge deal) but just figured I'd ask for some opinions, and maybe one is better than the other anyways? Like spec wise or one brand just being better than the other?

Any comments appreciated thank you!

-Monty.

grab the MSI card since you are after looks

backplate on a mid level card is kinda pointless

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

I think back plates on any cards is a plus.

OP, spec wise they are exactly the same. I think the MSI black/white one looks awesome. I'd pick it up if it's cheaper.

I used to be quite active here.

MSI, better looking and better customer support

Also backwards fan spin to remove dust.

It really prolongs the graphics' card life span.

Did not know that. I go through mine weekly, a bit OCD about it lol.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
