Gaming Build around $1200

Maxxtraxx

Hello all,

I am putting some ideas together for a Gaming build for a friend and I am looking for any helpful input or recommendations.

1: Budget: approx. $1200 US  Location: USA East Coast

2: Aim: Gaming with a desire for Maximum graphical beauty with both AAA titles and MMO's

3: Screen: 1080p currently with a eventual upgrade to 1440p

4: Peripherals: All accounted for including Monitor.

5: Reason for Upgrade: A several year old store bought HP is his current "gaming" PC.

Build:

Good build, don't skimp on the ssd, just get 850 evo. And you really don't need a WD black.

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania, Europe, Earth, Solar System, Local Interstellar Cloud, Local Bubble, Gould Belt, Orion Arm, Milky Way, Milky Way subgroup, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniakea, Pisces–Cetus Supercluster Complex, Observable universe, Universe.

Spoiler

12700, B660M Mortar DDR4, 32GB 3200C16 Viper Steel, 2TB SN570, EVGA Supernova G6 850W, be quiet! 500FX, EVGA 3070Ti FTW3 Ultra.

Good Point, 850 evo is only another 20 bucks.

For the HDD, the plan is to use a 1tb drive he currently has (it was a place holder to prevent everyone from commenting about lack of storage).

Hello all,

really no reason to buy a 980ti for that use case, as you're going to be better off as far as gaming goes with a mid range card and adaptive sync display

the build includes a 21:9 IPS free-sync display

You also could consider 2 SSDs in raid 0

Far too many things to go wrong with that and no one really needs that speed, at least no one unwilling to invest in an nvme drive
