I am not sure, going triple 1080p or going 2 1080p and 1 1440p ?

So currently, I have this setup

  1. 144hz ASUS VG248QE (24 inch)
  2. 60hz Philips 234CL        (24 inch)

I am thinking after christmas, when all the sales go on, how I should upgrade my setup.

I am thinking like this, giving away my Philips to my parents leaving me with 1 144hz asus monitor, then buy another 2 of these making me having 3 1080 144hz monitors (That is all the same), that would look like this

  1. 144hz ASUS VG248QE   (24 inch)
  2. 144hz ASUS VG248QE   (24 inch)
  3. 144hz ASUS VG248QE   (24 inch)

Else I think I can go with a setup like this,, keep the existing monitors and get a 1440p as main monitor, that would be a 27inch, making it look like this

  1. 60hz Philips 234CL         (24 inch)
  2. 144hz g-sync 1440p       (27 inch)
  3. 144hz ASUS VG248QE  (24 inch)

Would the last alternative look bad?

What would you prefer?

Merry Christmas

Depends on your video card and your preferences. I'd prefer a bigger monitor at higher resolutions, but if you plan to use all 3 at once in a game then the first option
