Can I store files on a windows installer usb key?

I bought a 16gb usb 3.0 drive from Kingston. (had good reviews) my question is i plan on putting a windows installation installer on it using the usb media creation tool. After i do that, can I create a folder in it to put all my documents and stuff in without breaking the windows installer?
