HTPC Help

Is this an htpc or a mini low cost gaming rig? What exactly are you wanting to use this for?

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

weez a mini low cost gaming rig. Something to kill consoles and be small enough to be in the living room. I also have an SSD for it.

but... why in the world would you need an R9 380 for a htpc?

Is it too much for a little gaming?

Cheaper RAM, and no graphics card. (You don't need it unless you want to play games on this system as well.)

A much cheaper graphics card like a 950, 750 ti or a 750 would be good enough  for some medium to lightweight gaming. Personally I would go with an Intel CPU like a Pentium G or an i3. I've got an i3-4150 and it does really well for most games that I play. Paired with my 750 I can easily play on medium graphics on intensive games and high settings on less intensive ones.
