One question why the Noctua NH-D14 over the D15 or D15s? They both appear to be either less or at the same price as the D14

Change the PSU to an XFX, Seasonic, or EVGA G2 or GS.  Also, do you care about your colors?  Your cooler is poop brown and barf tan, your motherboard and gpu is red and black, and your ram is blue.

PCPP doesn't differentiate the whole windowed and non windowed thing.

im using the d14 in my current pc until i purchase the other components. it supports 775

oh true. Then to answer your question I would rather invest my money into performance over having to resort to parts that I dont want just because it matches colour... The non windowed case was something i selected first before building the computer. I've done the whole lighted pc with clear window and im totally over it.

Overall quality, the NEX uses lower quality components while the GS is basically being proclaimed as the best series of power supplies to spend your money on.
