Yes it will work, it Supports AM2 motherboards so it will fit on a AM3 motherboard. (Assuming you still have the AM2 mounting bracket)

Hi! 

I have a OCZ Vendetta 2 cooling my old Core2Duo 8300 and I am planning a rig upgrade to a AMD FX 8320e 

 

Will I be able to mount Vendetta 2 to the AM3+ socket?
