Windows 10 suddenly black screens then comes back

Hi i had a recent post but nobody was responding and i need this fixed. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/503621-windows-10-screen-goes-black-randomly/#entry6724908

 

k so i have 2 monitors both acres nothings wrong with them. one monitor connected with DVI flashes black then comes back on like normal like nothing ever happens. this has been happening ever since i upgraded to windows the from 8.1. i have tried resetting my PC, that didn't work. i have all latest drivers.

If you have your data backed up on a USB or an external hard drive, you could format your boot drive and reinstall windows using another USB with Windows 10/8.1 on it, but I recommend you try every single possible way to get it to work and use the reinstallation of Windows as your last resort. I never experienced the problem that you are currently experiencing so I am very sorry if I am not much help to you.

What are your specs more interested in the graphics card and motherboard can usually be the culprit.

If it's both monitors black screening at the same time it's probably the display driver crashing and restarting.  The black screen is only for like a second or so?  Usually happens to me once while playing a fullscreen game after which it is fine.  Sometimes I don't get the driver crash message, sometimes I do, but I do know that whenever it happens, the LED windforce logo on my graphics card flickers at the same time as the black screen so I'm pretty sure it's always a driver crash.  Afterwards everything runs fine without issue it doesn't really bother me.

 

Now if it's only one monitor it's more likely a hardware issue I think.  It might be the cable you are using, the monitor itself or the cable connector either on the GPU or the monitor.
