The Next CS and Skin Transfers ?

So, its a possibility in 6 years, a new cs will release out of necessity. My question, will they transfer skins directly (Re doing them in the new game and then distributing them) or simply reimburse players with some sort of cs cash or steam wallet funds. Or just update the current CS. I highly doubt they will just say "forget it" to players with 1000$+ inventories, that would create way to much tension, so what do you think.

At this rate i don't think 6 years means anything for something running on a 11 year old engine haha

what?

With new hardware, new engines, ect, I would think it would be inevitable. Either that or a complete overhaul.

It's just like people buying DLC in my opinion. A new game comes out and you don't really expect to get reimbursed for the DLC you purchased in the former game.

I think it would be quite humorous to see all the people that blew tons of money on skins get absolutely furious if what they bought in one game doesn't transfer into another.

paying money for texture packs with artificial value, either way i don't see why not

what would they even change for a new cs game anyway?

Not sure, like I said, they could just overhaul the game. Eliminate alot of the problems a new game would have

I dont see why they wouldn't. You may not care, but people with huge inventories would be furious.

they cannot make a new CS like that. If anything like we've seen with dota 2, it will be forward ported to source 2.

I hope they dont.

People with huge inventories should realize that what is in one game may not be in another, so they should take full responsibility and realize the money they spend in one game is just that--money spent in one game.

the amount of people with large inventories is very large, if it were only a couple I could see it, but I doubt valve would screw that many people

CS hasn't grown so much since this past 2 years, so I doubt they'd just pull the plug/create conflicting communities it when it's still growing.

Im saying in 6 years.

so what? You realize that CS 1.6 lasted from 1999 to 2011 right? And source kind of split the community but the majority of the hardcore players stayed on 1.6.

So now that there is money and an economy on the line which valve basically makes so much money off of, I doubt that they would just remove them all together if they do make a game in 6 years, but that is pretty short since 1.6 started to decay around 2010-2011

I think they will just port the game over to source 2 and keep the current cs game.
