Sweet build.

It looks weird at this stage with that huge rad at the front not cooling anything.

Looking forward to see it once you install other water cooling parts.

Thanks!  Yeah, I'm actually saddened everytime I look down at the case when I'm gaming or setting it up to fold and I see it kinda serves no purpose right now, lol.  If anything the only reason it is still installed is to air out the new "paint" smell it has outta the box.

Update:  Just recieved the 240 Rad, primo chill tubing ( 3/8 ID - 1/2 OD ), the Fans and GPU blocks/Bridge are coming in today.

What's left : CPU block, connectors/fittings, pump/res, and sleeving.

The only other decision I need to make before I even officially call the loop finished is deciding what I'm going to do about color.  I'm going back and forth with some ideas that include staying with a strict black/green build which would mean painting the blue accents on my mobo (which i'm not a fan of doing).  OR; doing a sort of rugged "borderlands" style theme which would include colors like yellow/blue/the olive drab green, and giving it the beat up aged paint look.  Both of these ideas will turn out great, I'm just not a fan of modding anything on the mobo as far as the first option goes.

I don't know. You have a lot of blue on mbo, PSU and cables, so I'd go for blue or black colour for coolant.

What colour is the primo chill tubing you got?

For the sake of being bored at the moment I figured I might as well throw my actual build sheet on here, so....

CPU - Intel i5 2500k: 4.5Ghz at 1.24V (between the H100i and the H80 temps are actually the same at peak, 61C)

Mobo - MSI Z77A-GD65

VGA - MSI Nvidia GTX 660ti Power Edition (X2) SLI, 1275Mhz clk

Pwr Sply - HX750, but switching to my AX750 to make sleeving a bit easier.

HDD - Just a 500GB Caviar Blk and a random Hitachi back up drive.

SSD -  Soon to come

Liquid Cooling :

EK Supremacy Acetal + Nickel CPU Block

EK Supremacy Acetal + Nickel GPU Universal

EK Supremacy Acetal Dual Parallel SLI Bridge

EK XTX 360, 64mm Radiator

EK XT 240, 47mm Radiator

Tubing : Primochill Primoflex Advanced LRT Clear, 3/8" ID - 1/2" OD

Pump : EK D5 X-Res Vario Pump/Res Combined

Fittings : Undecided on color scheme, Monsoon Fittings and probable angle extensions for clean routing.

The components (not the liquid cooling parts) above are my existing system I built early early last year.  Upgrading for me would require the ability to jump quite a bit in performance, lol.  Basicly I haven't found a need or a reason just yet... even though i really want to!  This is my first liquid cooling build and I def want it to be a good one.

pay attention to the heat of those hdd, they're really closed up now! Do they transmit some vibrations to the side panel?

My Rig:

Ram: Corsair Vengance Red 2x4 GB 1600 MHz CL8; Heatsink: Noctua NH-U9B; Power supply: Corsair HX750 W 80 Plus Gold; Storage: SSD Vertex 3 120 GB +2 HDD Wester Digital 1 TB

The tubing is clear, I was thinking of going with blue for coolant either way.  PSU cables I plan to sleeve either black or gray or both accented.

pay attention to the heat of those hdd, they're really closed up now! Do they transmit some vibrations to the side panel?

I was thinking of mounting a set of small 40mm fans or something between the RAD and the HDD's.  Vibration is controlled by small rubber "grommets" that the screws go through.

Ok, I didn't take the time to take a bunch of pics of mounting everything but here is the build so far.

Got all the fans in: check

Both Rads in: check

Top Radiator fits to quite literally a knats ass!: check

Fans are loud as crap: :( check....

I actually posted this in the air cooling section but nobody "bit"

I have two "EK 4 Pin PWM 4 Way" fan harness powering all 8 SP120's.

It is basically a 4-pin connected to Sys1 and Sys2 on the Mobo, then it splits off from there to 4 fans each, also it is tapped off to a voltage input from the PSU via molex.  Since it's powered by the molex also do i lose the abliity to drop the fan speed via my BIOS?  It says they are running at 50% but at 2100 RPM...seems a bit high since they are 2300 RPM fans.  This leaves me thinking since they are tapped off of molex PSU power PWM won't matter?

There it is folks!  One step closer!

I think afterburner offers a temp monitor for VRM and Ram. If not I will be figuring this out. Also, don't worry there will be heat syncs on everything else. They just haven't come in yet. I mounted this block in a for of impatience. Looks like the only thing ill be playing for the next few weeks enjoyably will be Dota2, or skyrim... Lol

Afterburner only show those temps if your graphic card has sensors on these components. The MSI 670 pe oc only has sensor at GPU, dont know for your card. Also GPU-Z is nice program if u dont  have it already. My VRM hit 100c+ without sufficient cooling, had to setup an extra fan to make it work.

I was thinking if putting together some ram cooling kits that use the 40mm fans if there is a need for direct cooling on the heat syncs I pick up.

Oooh, Universal GPU blocks, dont see those too often. Have you had them installed before? Do you have any way to measure VRM/VRAM temps when you get your system up and running?

Got two MSI GTX 670 PE OC in sli with uniblocks HERE.

Sorry, didn't mean to ignore your questions, I was out and about answering the posts from my phone. This is my first LC build and for using those GPU blocks. Will gpuz give me temps? I use it just don't remember. If not, how much will an external sensor placed properly benefit me?

I was checking out your build the other day, I really like the set up and colors!!

In GPU-Z, choose the Sensors tab, all the temp readouts from your card should be there. The VRM will work up to 125c so they get pretty hot, these temps is imo not good for longevity. You could buy a cheap IR temp measure device, and manually monitor. I encourage you to find some way to monitor the temps if you dont have built in sensors. If you can find one and dont mind spending some money, the Lamptron CW611 has 6 temp probes, see my log again if you wanna see how i use them.

I like the CW611, there's another one by aquaero that I'm lookin into. Just trying to figure out where I'm gonna mount it, possibly doing an acrylic side panel with one of those two being a read out mounted with it. It's amazing the turns our builds can take, lol.

Ok, feel retarded using this as a help forum on my own build but I'm open to suggestions towards my build I guess is kinda the point.

I'm using this:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14982/cab-627/EK_4-Pin_PWM_4-Way_Splitter_Cable_-_Sleeved_Black_Black.html?id=avZGqkMn&mv_pc=834

Two of these are powering the 8 SP120 PWM (4 pin ofcourse) fans I'm running for my two radiators.  I can't control my fans through them by utilizing my 2 4 pin PWM headers on my motherboard (not including the CPU Fan header which is also 4 pin)

Trying to figure out a good way to control my fans while still using these harnesses, of which they are advertised and spec'd to be used in order to control multiple fans.

Mobo is this: (in case you wondered)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130643

I will end up buying something like an Aquaero fan control/sensor monitor more than likely, but I just don't get why I can't control my fans through these harnesses utilizing the very headers my mobo came with.  Yes, I tested the header with one fan just in case.

hmmm I cant see why those spliters wouldnt work. Are the RPM signal cable from all the fans attached to the spliter connected  to the one 4pin you plug in you motherboard?

So I'm starting a project, just transplanted all my hardware into an old Antec 900 case... and wow it's cramped.

These pics aren't the best, shot them with a phone but I'll take care of that problem as the build goes on.

Two pictures of the rig, the third picture is of the start of my modding.

I'm gonna leave the details out for now, I'll let you guys use your imagination.  More pics to come, just waiting on parts :D
