Well the older the pump is the higher the chances it is to die.

 

But you should be fine with a 6700k and the h100.

the new coolers have been improved a lot

far less chances of leaks

 

4 years is pretty old for an AiO

i would replace it, just in case :)

Yes your running a time bomb there... Every 3 years change a Closed loop

 

H105 = Raw performance (Less features )

 

H100i GTX = Less performance (more features)

Might add this later...

Difference between H100 and H100i GTX = nothing besides corsair link and different block design / functionality. You might as well go custom if you're looking to upgrade IMO.

Yeah, I was also thinking about a ek predator, but I don't see that being worth it unless I replace the coolant and tubes and I would also be replacing the default fans eitherway. The ek predator just seems overpriced for performance. @MDPS

Well, I think I'm gonna go with the h105. I don't really care about the corsair link features and from what I can tell the h105 pump is pretty much silent even at 12 volts. Though the temptation of the ek predator is still there ^_^
